Serbian border to Sofia: 15 April – 9 May
We have 21 days solid in Serbia: including Novi Sad, the country’s second largest city and Serbia’s so-called Athens. A major financial and industrial centre, Novi Sad is one of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s Green Cities, so there’ll be lots to discuss. Two days on finds us in Belgrade, just in time for Earth Day. Belgrade’s another EBRD Green City, and belongs to the Global Covenant of Mayors. We can’t wait to hear how locals feel about historic emissions. On 7 May, we enter Bulgaria, and reach the capital Sofia two days later.
