Help make your historic carbon emissions history
Carbon removal is the act of actively sucking CO2 out of the atmosphere. From nature-based solutions to cutting-edge tech, these projects are the opposite of emissions. They need scaling up and fast for humanity to have any hope of hanging onto a stable climate.
Humanity has emitted hundreds of gigatons of CO2, much of which is still up there. We have to put less CO2 into the atmosphere, but we also have to get that historic carbon back down.
We can all help scale carbon removal projects and technologies
At walk it back, we want to help you contribute in the most impactful way. We have partnered with Patch, who have put together a portfolio of carbon removal projects for walk it back supporters.
You can choose one or several projects from the portfolio for your targeted support. Or you can choose to spread your financial support across the full range of projects – as Craig has.
Below are different levels of support to suit you. Email us to find out more or select a project below to make a contribution.
Craig and the walk it back Campaign are so grateful for your support.
Walk it Back Super Hero
To become a walk it back Super Hero, you’ll accurately calculate your historic carbon emissions, by working with a partner like Climate Positive at a cost of roughly £4-6,000.
You’ll then remove your entire lifetime’s carbon footprint, based on a price of £140 per tonne, and commit to removing your carbon emissions ongoing, for the rest of your life.
This will probably cost you around £200,000 with an ongoing annual commitment of around £3,000 depending on how much of a carbon emitter you are.
Walk it Back Mega Star
As a walk it back Mega Star, you’ll base your historic emissions calculation on the average for the top 10% of emitters, which works out at roughly 22 tonnes for each year of your life. You’ll commit to removing 30 years of emissions, at a total cost of £100,000. And you’ll also commit to removing your carbon emissions ongoing, for the rest of your life, at a cost of around £3,000 per year.
Walk it Back Champ
As a walk it back Champ we’ll keep it simple but effective: you’ll commit to one off financial support of £20,000 to carbon removal projects, helping to remove a whopping 142 tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere. You’ll also commit to removing your carbon emissions ongoing, for the rest of your life, at a cost of around £3,000 per year.
walk it back winner
As a walk it back Winner, you’ll commit to a one off financial support of £10,000 to carbon removal projects, removing a staggering 72 tonnes of carbon from our skies and putting it back into the ground where it needs to be. You’ll also commit to removing your carbon emissions ongoing, for the rest of your life, at a cost of around £3,000 per year.
